《金剛經》梵文Vajracchedikā Prajñāpāramitā Sūtra，玄奘法師譯作《能斷金剛般若波羅蜜多經》，為漢系佛教乃至整個東亞佛教傳統中最具影響力的佛教聖典之一。此經闡明大乘佛法中空性思想。然從總體內容而言，此空之義理之闡述是透過整體佛法中之「無我」說。從這觀點，《金剛經》的教義可統一初期佛法及大乘佛法共通之核心思想，可說是佛法之精髓，是金剛不可壞之佛法。
法光法師曾為香港大學旭日基金明德教授席(佛學研究)， 2015 年獲欽哲基金會頒發終身成就獎。法光法師現為香港佛法中心主席 及光明精舍住持丶中國人民大學哲學院講座教授。
