本學年科目包括「空之義理：般若經典及早期中觀」、「早期印度瑜伽行派之教義」、「大乘佛教：教義之考察」、「中國佛教史」、「印度佛教史：從起源至大乘佛教之興起」、「說一切有部阿毗達磨：教義與爭議」、「佛教梵文經典導讀 I – 文法基礎」及必修科目「巴利尼柯耶 (經藏) 中之佛教教義：分析與演繹」及「研究方法論與畢業小論文」。
全部課程以中文教學及評核。
由於疫症影響，原定於二零二零年九月五日舉行之「禮敬諸佛、稱讚如來 ── 踏上成佛之道」 法光法師/教授公開講座將延期舉行，舉行日期將容後公布。不便之處，敬請見諒。

佛法是成佛之道。人成即佛成；所以，這就是全面開展人的潛能之道、完滿人性之道。然此「人性」，並非限於人的理性、人的理智。佛法要轉化的是人的總體––五蘊；而如眾所週知，人往往情感勝於理智。通過「禮敬諸佛」、「稱讚如來」，能具體地讓我們調治情感，更能得到生存之目的與意義，在成佛之道上開始向善向上的奮求。
講者
法光法師於出生於馬來西亞。於斯里蘭卡凱拉尼亞大學巴利文及佛學研究生院任教二十二年，其後到香港大學佛學研究中心任教十多年，曾任該校旭日基金明德教授席(佛學研究)，二零一五年獲欽哲基金會頒發終身成就獎。法光法師現為香港佛法中心主席及光明精舍住持、中國人民大學哲學院講座教授。法師畢生致力於南北傳佛教各派之統一。

Khyentse Foundation has announced Dr Mingyuan Gao, PhD graduate, The Buddha Dharma Center of Hong Kong, as one of the winners of the 2020 Outstanding PhD Dissertations in Buddhist Studies for Asiawith the dissertation entitled, The Buddhist Concept of Vāsanā: From Abhidharma to Early Yogācāra.
The first lectures of MABS 01 Buddhist Doctrines of Pali Nikāyas: Analysis and Interpretation and MABS 02 Theravāda Abhidhamma: Origins and Development of 2020 Master of Arts in Buddhist Studies (English Medium) (MA) programme will be free for public sit-in. Members of the public from all parts of the world are welcome to join the first lectures of both course units for free for learning Theravada Abhidhamma and early Buddhist teachings.
